Rio de Janeiro… a city of contrasts, where high mountains meet breathtaking beaches, and rich culture harmoniously combines with a laid-back beach lifestyle. From the moment you set foot in this bustling metropolis, you are greeted by the infectious energy that pulsates through the streets. This is where the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches are located, the jewels of the Rio coast – for me the best beaches in the world. Copacabana, with its iconic black and white tiled promenade, stretches for miles. The atmosphere here is electric, with the sounds of waves, laughter and music filling the air. Along the beach you will find plenty of local street food stalls, and on the beach there are many vendors selling various snacks. Just a short walk from Copacabana is Ipanema Beach, known for its stunning beauty and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The beach is divided into “postos”, each of which has its own unique atmosphere. From Posto 9, a popular place among the LGBTQ+ community, to Posto 10, favored by surfers. Along the seaside promenade in Copacabana and Ipanema, you will discover colorful kiosks selling food, cold beer and caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail. Caipirinha is made with just 3 ingredients, cachaça (sugar cane spirit), fresh limes, sugar and ice, this cocktail is the perfect companion for a day at the beach. Or any other day in Rio.
